Gareth Whaley represents and advises public and private clients on a wide array of matters. His background in mathematics allows him to play an integral role in transactional matters such as economic development, public finance and contracts, and land use regulation. On litigation matters, he offers a diplomatic, methodical approach – aiding clients dealing with a breadth of constitutional, employment, contract, and tort claims.
Before joining Isaac Wiles, Gareth worked as an intern at Senator Sherrod Brown’s Washington, D.C. office, and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He earned his J.D. at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he served as Vice President of Membership of the American Constitution Society, Staff Editor of the Journal on Dispute Resolution, a Moot Court Team competitor, and a Moritz Board Fellow.
Gareth received his B.S., summa cum laude, in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. In his free time, Gareth enjoys board games, honing his cooking skills, reading, and traveling. He is fluent in Spanish.
