Policyholder released from complex claims and carrier recouped hundreds of thousands of dollars expended
Isaac Wiles resolved a complex, seven-year lawsuit involving a major hillside collapse in Cincinnati, OH, for its client, a major regional property and casualty insurer. The case involved several residences and businesses, as well as the City of Cincinnati, making significant damages claims for property and business losses sustained when a construction hillside excavation project suddenly collapsed in the Mt. Adams neighborhood. Over 10 experts and 50 factual witnesses were deposed in the case.
Not only were we able to get the insurance company’s policyholder fully released from complex claims involving 12 different parties, but we were also able to recoup hundreds of thousands of dollars expended by the carrier in those efforts through prosecuting a successful insurance subrogation claim for the insurer.
