Isaac Wiles seeks an attorney with 3-5+ years of legal experience to join its Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group where the attorney will work primarily with one experienced partner whose practice is focused primarily on commercial debtor insolvency and bankruptcy matters and who is also a Chapter 7 panel Trustee. The attorney will also work with other experienced partners who focus on commercial disputes and litigation.
Individuals who apply should have experience in commercial insolvency and bankruptcy matters, preferably including experience in Chapter 11 and/or Chapter 12 cases. Experience in adversary proceedings, and bankruptcy contested matters, and experience in analyzing business structure and financial information would also be valued. The ideal candidate will also enjoy representing businesses facing financial challenges, and owners of businesses in financial distress. Although the work of the practice group does include representation of creditors, those who are averse to representing debtors or who are averse to appearing in Bankruptcy Courts should not apply. Finally, applicants must be able to work both independently and in concert with others, have good communication skills, be detail-oriented, be deadline-oriented, be willing to respond to urgent client matters and situations and be technologically proficient.

Individuals who apply should have some experience in family law matters, including preparing pleadings, preparing discovery, organizing discovery documents, responding to discovery, drafting motions, analyzing financial information, preparing marital balance sheets, running child support guidelines, running spousal support calculations, performing legal research (on a platform such as Lexis), and in appearing in and representing parties before judicial officers in state courts.
